International activities and Double Degrees

Double Diploma with the Université Paris Cité (F)

The Double Diploma program allows students enrolled in the partner university Université Paris Cité (F), to carry out the second year of studies at the University of Trieste in Master's Degree in Functional Genomics in english and to carry out the internship for the preparation of the experimental thesis in Trieste, Paris and discuss the thesis both in Trieste and in Paris.

At the end of this program the student will obtain both the Master's Degree in Functional Genomics issued by the University of Trieste and the Master of Sciences Santé et Applications - mention «Génétique», which is the equivalent of the French University, released from the Université Paris Cité (F).

Subjects studied during the programme are advanced genetic, molecular and cellular biology courses, structural and comparative genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, oncogenomics, pharmacogenomics, application of functional genomics to diagnostics, genome and transcriptome analysis of organism of economic interest, innovation and technology transfer. Bioinformatics tools will be provided and discussed as long as genome-wide approaches and high-throughput sequencing methods.

Courses will be held during two semesters. The 1st semester is from early October to the end of January, the 2nd semester from early march to mid-June, the exact days being determined every year .
